Some stories can only be told from the source themselves. Mr. Grayson has one of those stories, that inspire and give hope to so many moms yearning for a baby. As a CNY Newborn Photographer, I have asked Grayson’s mom, Christine, to share with you, in her words, their beautiful tale. Please enjoy!

“Grayson Asher is a miracle baby. My husband and I got married in Aug 2017. We had talked about having children but soon after I was told I would need a kidney transplant. I have been a Type 1 diabetic for 21 years. Due to this, I was unable to carry a child.
My husband and I started looking into IVF services. Not knowing what the future would bring. I was told I could POSSIBLY get pregnant a year or more after a transplant but the transplant date was a mystery. I kept plugging along. I did not need a transplant right away and was able to look for a match. In March of 2019, I underwent IVF and we ended up with one embryo… a boy.
I knew NYS currently did not allow for compensated surrogacy. I started researching… joined a few online groups to find out more information and met a wonderful woman who, after a few months of talking, offered to be our surrogate. My husband and I flew out to her home state, met her family and decided to move forward.
Eight and a half months later, our miracle baby was born. Grayson Asher was born 2.5 weeks early at 6 lbs, 13 oz. He was an absolute miracle from the beginning and is a blessing everyday. We are so beyond thankful for the selfless women out there, who are caring enough to help families like us bring a child into this world to love.”
