Lucas was my first pandemic newborn last year at the start of the CoVid 19 shutdown in March. After 1 long year of uncertainty in the world, I was happy to see Lucas, his big siblings, and parents again for his cake smash session.

We built Lucas’ backdrop set around a Star Wars theme, (no play on his name was intended). Lucas’s parents provided plenty of plush, while my husband’s collection of lightsabers aided in the construction of the lightsaber trophy wall. It looked pretty awesome.
Lucas had no problem deconstructing his cake. He literally took his confectionery goodness from cake form to crumbs in the matter of minutes, while stuffing his face with the sugary matter.
My Cake Smash sessions are in 3 parts to capture a variety of portraits and the personality of your one-year-old. I start with a classic or themed setting, move onto the messy cake smash, and finish it off with the bubble bath blast! The bubble bath is always blast of water through my studio. I keep extra towels on standby for the flood that most likely will occur. During this part of the session, I have parents help out by blowing bubbles to bring out the magic in the birthday baby’s eyes!
