I love big families. Being number four in a line of nine children, I love to see families with a large number of children. Being an Oswego NY Newborn photographer, I wasn’t sure the capacity of my home studio could handle while doing family portraits. Well, I am proud to say, so far 10 is acceptable! And I learned all their names as well.
Cooper and his family came to see me at just 9 days new. He was the star of the show and his siblings were all about holding him for the portraits. They all did a great job following directions as I posed them as a family and as a sibling group.
Cooper’s beautiful mama answered my model call for maternity portraits’ weeks before his arrival. She did a magnificent job modeling my Angela gown from Sew Trendy. You can read all about that session here! I was excited to have her back to pose her baby in her arms this time!
As an Oswego NY Newborn Photographer, I book as far as 6 months in advance. The best practice is once mom has made it through the first trimester, to call me and get on my schedule. Newborns have a very limited time frame for posing, and I can only book so many for each month. Also, when a newborn is booked in advance, it gives me time to create, sew, knit and design props, outfits and sets for session.
