I have the best job in the world. Sweet, trusting, parents hand me their precious newborns for me to safely pose and wrap into gorgeous art they will treasure forever. As a CNY newborn photographer, my job is to capture the details that will soon fill out and vanish within just a couple weeks of life. So while I am posing, I am snuggling and getting my baby fix that I so desperately need to keep me from having another one myself. (My youngest can read, life is good!)
Kane was only 11 days new during his newborn session. At first, Kane was curious about me and wanted to watch me work, but I was able to convince him that napping was his the best option. Once he fell asleep, I flew through all my sweet newborn poses on my newborn beanbag and filled his gallery with many options for mama to pick from.
When booking your newborn photography session before birth, there is always a question of “When will we have our newborn session if the baby isn’t born yet?” As an expectant mama, you may be planning on having your baby naturally with no predetermined date of when your baby will arrive. That leaves room for much uncertainly when booking your newborn session. But that is ok. When you book your newborn session with me, before your baby’s birth, I will add you to my calendar and will not overbook for the week that you are expecting. Within two days after giving birth (while resting in the hospital or at home) shoot me a message of your blessed arrival. From there, we will schedule a date for your newborn’s photography session. Newborns are best posed and photographed within 5- 14 days of birth, so it is crucial to have your newborn photographer booked well before your baby arrives.
