Who knew that a baby born on Friday the 13th, in the year of 2020, would be a model baby for my CNY newborn photography session? I am talking model behavior! And to add icing to the cake, Noah was 25 days new at his session! That is more then a week older than I usually capture my newborns. However, Noah was quiet, content, and willing to pose all through his session.

For the first half of his newborn session, Noah remained awake, watching me while I worked. His eye contact was on point and he wasn’t fussy, so I didn’t mind the observation. During the second half of his session, he decided he had seen enough and took a small nap, allowing me to pose him in ‘chin on hands’, ‘froggy’, and ‘taco’. If you have ever sat through one of my newborn session, you will know those are the hardest poses to accomplish and babies need to be sleepy to capture it! I was thrilled.
When booking your newborn session before birth, there is always a question of “When will we do it?” As an expectant mama, you may be planning on having your baby naturally with no predetermined date of when your baby will arrive. That leaves for much uncertainly when booking your newborn session. But that is ok. When you book your newborn session with me, before your baby’s birth, I will add you to my calendar and will not overbook for the week that you are expecting. Within two days after giving birth (while resting in the hospital or at home) shoot me a message of your blessed arrival. From there, we will schedule a date for your newborn’s photography session. Newborns are best posed and photographed within 5- 14 days of birth, so it is crucial to have your newborn photographer booked well before your baby arrives.
